Surrealism...

Nikon D3000 F-Stop f/4

This is the photograph showing surrealism; it is big ben standing entwined next to the traffic lights, in the same proportion to one another, something which is of course not the norm.

This was the starting point of the editing

Next i changed the hue and saturation so it was a bold and bright colour in comparison to the brown and grey of London’s buildings, I was inspired of the idea of bold & bright colours from the surreal artist Sandy Skoglund http://www.sandyskoglund.com/. This artist uses weird and wacky ideas and uses bold and bright colours so that’s why I chose to use hue and saturation in the editing process.

Then for it to be really surreal I decided to use twirl effect in the distort filter so it would fit the idea of surrealism

This was the final outlook of the photo after the editing process, I added final touches of brightness and contrast and this was the finished product showing surrealism in London.
